I want to update you about the exciting things that have been happening at YWAM Dallas! It is an amazing story about God and His love for us.
All of you know how God's message of upgrade has captured our hearts and how we have been praying for it. I personally have seen more upgrade and favor in my family than ever in my life. We at YWAM Dallas have also been praying for upgrade.
Taxes were payed off, gifts had come in and then at Christmas time we received a gift of $10,000.00 from an organization called APX Alarms. We were amazed and grateful. Now listen to the next step.
David, our base director, weekly attends a prayer meeting on Wednesday mornings. A lady named Deborah was there praying and felt drawn to him. She eventually approached him and told him God wanted her to talk to him. He shared what we were doing at YWAM Dallas and she decided she wanted to provide desserts for the kids on Monday nights for our dinner. When she walked into our basement and saw the deterioration of the building she said God spoke to her and she knew what she was to do. She is an Interior designer and told us she wanted to renovate the building and asked us what our dreams were for our facility! (
http://deborahwalker.com ) We were so overwhelmed it took us awhile to even know what our dreams were! So we dreamed and she worked and came up with a beautiful plan of renovation! Then another amazing thing happened! My daughter Ivy's company DesL group (

We named the project Project R after Isaiah 58:12: "Those from among you will build up the old waste places, you shall raise up the foundations of many generations, and you shall be called repairer of the breach, restorer of streets to dwell in." Raise, Repair and Restore. Project R. That is our heart for East Dallas. To raise, repair and restore the streets (lives).
Now an amazing thing has happened. As we are working to raise the funding for this project, we were nominated to win $100,000.00 from this same company that gave us the $10,000.00. This would pay for the entire project, get us new vans (we currently have no van, the transmission on our is irreparable) etc.
All you have to do is go to your facebook account and vote for us everyday. It takes literally 15 seconds! We are now in 4th place, so we have a serious chance of winning. I am asking you, please, go to your facebook and vote. Ask your friends and family to vote. We need to vote everyday until June 12th, when they will determine the top 15 and then keep voting until they determine the winner. (August)
