This is one of their THREE DAY WORK WEEKS that we all pay for.  I am ready to start from the beginning by voting out all elected officials and not letting any of them stay in office for more than two terms.  No more lifelong healthcare, retirement, voting in their own pay raises, taking perks on our taxes, etc.

KEEP THIS GOING, DON'T LET IT STOP WITH YOU!  VOTE ALL INCUMBENTS OUT IN NOVEMBER

Supreme Court Justice Stepping Down, Confirmation Battle Coming Soon
Friday, U.S. Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens announced that he will retire from the bench after the Court finishes its term in June. Stevens, who will turn 90 in less than two weeks, was one of the most liberal Justices on the Court, and with President Obama in office, he'll likely be replaced with someone just as liberal. A few of the leading candidates for this open seat are U.S. Solicitor General Elena Kagan, the former dean of Harvard Law School who argued the Mojave Desert War Memorial case before the Court, and Diane Wood, a judge who ruled against Christianity on more than one occasion.
Candy Cane Case Argued Again
This week, Liberty Institute attorneys, with former U.S. Solicitor General Paul Clement joining their side, had oral arguments on the infamous candy cane case, now at the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. The court is considering whether or not two school officials are liable for shutting down students' free speech because it's religious. Not only were we shocked, but the judges were as well when attorneys for the school officials said students don't have First Amendment rights and that government religious viewpoint discrimination against children is perfectly legal! The judges continually asked the attorneys to cite cases that showed that religious viewpoint discrimination is allowed against children, and they could not provide even one. It is unbelievable that school officials would argue that they have the right to engage in religious viewpoint discrimination against students.
Houston Homosexual Mayor Declares "Same-Sex" Bathrooms
Annise Parker, the newly elected mayor of Houston, recently signed two executive orders that expand protection for transgender individuals. The executive orders now allow transgenders, loosely defined as a person who is biologically one gender but identifies as another, to use the city-owned restrooms designed for the gender with which they identify. This means that a biological man will now be allowed to use the women's restroom if he identifies himself as a woman. Also, Parker, a lesbian herself, extended employment rights to transgenders by adding "gender identity" to the city's equal employment opportunity statement. While these policies only apply to city-owned restrooms and city employees, they are another sign of what's being pushed. Similar bills were filed in the 2009 Texas Legislative session, and the federal Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) bill expected to pass this year would do exactly the same nationwide.
Homosexual Couples Encouraged to Identify as Married on Census
News broke this week that Census officials are encouraging homosexual couples, when they fill out the 2010 Census, to identify themselves as married if they are committed to their partners. Census officials have no authority to redefine marriage, and by doing so, not only are they abusing their power, but they are violating the Defense of Marriage Act, which says that the federal government will not recognize any marriage other than that of one man and one woman. Even more appalling, the same officials are encouraging transgender people to choose the gender with which they identify, not their actual gender. This is an abuse of power by federal officials in an attempt to expand homosexual "marriage" and acceptance of transgender lifestyles.

Three cheers for Congressman John Fleming of Louisiana !
Congressman John Fleming ( Louisiana physician) has proposed an

amendment that would require congressmen and senators to take the

same healthcare plan they force on us (under proposed legislation they

are curiously exempt).

Congressman Fleming is encouraging people to go on his Website and

SERVICE -STIMULUS SERMON

Genesis 47:13-27

---------------------------------------------------
Good morning, brothers and sisters; it's always a delight to see

the pews crowded on Sunday morning, and so eager to get into

God's Word. Turn with me in your Bibles, if you will to the 47Th

chapter of Genesis, we'll begin our reading at verse 13, and go

through verse 27.

Brother Ray, would you stand and read that great passage for us?

....(reading)...

Thank you for that fine reading, Brother Ray... So we see that

economic hard times fell upon Egypt , and the people turned to

the government of Pharaoh to deal with this for them. And Pharaoh

nationalized the grain harvest, and placed the grain in great storehouses

that he had built. So the people brought their money to Pharaoh, like a
great tax increase, and gave it all to him willingly in return for grain.. And

this went on until their money ran out, and they were hungry again.

So when they went to Pharaoh after that, they brought their

livestock -their cattle, their horses, their sheep, and their donkey -

to barter for grain, and verse 17 says that only took them through

the end of that year..

But the famine wasn't over, was it? So the next year, the people

came before Pharaoh and admitted they had nothing left, except

their land and their own lives. "There is nothing left in the sight

of my lord but our bodies and our land. Why should we die before

your eyes, both we and our land? Buy us and our land for food,

and we with our land will be servants to Pharaoh." So they

surrendered their homes, their land, and their real estate to

Pharaoh's government, and then sold themselves into slavery

to him, in return for grain. What can we learn from this, brothers
and sisters?

That turning to the government instead of to God to be our provider

in hard times only leads to slavery?

 Yes.
That the only reason government wants to be our provider
is to also become our master?
Yes.

But look how that passage ends, brothers and sisters! Thus Israel

settled in the land of Egypt , in the land of Goshen .. And they gained

possessions in it, and were fruitful and multiplied greatly." God

provided for His people, just as He always has! They didn't end up
giving all their possessions to government, no, it says they gained

possessions! But I also tell you a great truth today, and an ominous

one.. We see the same thing happening today - the government today

wants to "share the wealth "once again, to take it from us and redistribute

it back to us. It wants to take control of health care, just as it has taken

control of education, and ration it back to us, and when government

rations it, then government decides who gets it, and how much, and
what kind. And if we go along with it, and do it willingly, then we will

wind up no differently than the people of Egypt did four thousand years

ago - as slaves to the government, and as slaves to our leaders..

What the current government is doing now is no different from what

Pharaoh's government did then, and it will end the same. And a lot of

people like to call Mr. Obama a "Messiah," don't they? Is he a Messiah?

A savior? Didn't the Egyptians say, after Pharaoh made them his slaves,

"You have saved our lives; may it please my lord, we will be servants to Pharaoh"?

Well, I tell you this -

I know the Messiah; the Messiah is a friend of mine;

and Mr. Obama is no Messiah! No, brothers and sisters,

if Mr. Obama is a character from the Bible, then he is Pharaoh.

Bow with me in prayer, if you will.

Lord, You alone are worthy to be served, and we rely on You, and You alone.
We confess that the government is not our deliverer, and never rightly will be..
We read in the eighth chapter of 1 Samuel, when Samuel warned the people
of what a ruler would do, where it says "And in that day you will cry out

because of your king, whom you have chosen for yourselves, but

the LORD will not answer you in that day."
And Lord, we acknowledge
that day has come. We cry out to you because of the ruler that we have

chosen for ourselves as a nation.. Lord, we pray for this nation. We pray

for revival, and we pray for deliverance from those who would be our masters.
Give us hearts to seek You and hands to serve You, and protect Your people

from the atrocities of Pharaoh's government.

In God We Trust...

Texas Intercessors,

We need to really press in on the issue of believers voting. Few people vote in the primary elections and even fewer Christians vote! Very seldom do preachers even say anything to urge their congregations to vote even though not to vote is ungodly. It allows the enemy entrance into our regions and is throwing our "seed" for godly leadership away.

Early voting starts on Tuesday and there are some significant issues at stake. Note especially #'s 4 and 5

Here is info from the following website: http://texaslegislativeupdate.wordpress.com/2010/02/09/texas-whats-on-the-ballot-candidates-god-abortion-voter-i-d/

The Republican Primary ballot will have 5 Propositions on the ballot. The Democratic Party primary ballot does not have any propositions.

The Republican Party Primary ballot has the following propositions:

Ballot Proposition #1: Photo ID-The Texas legislature should make it a priority to protect the integrity of our election process by enacting legislation that requires voters to provide valid photo identification in order to cast a ballot in any and all elections conducted in the State of
Texas. YES OR NO

Ballot Proposition #2: Controlling Government Growth-Every government body in Texas should be required to limit any annual increase in its budget andspending to the combined increase of population and inflation unless it first gets voter approval to exceed the allowed annual growth or in the case of an official emergency. YES OR NO

Ballot Proposition #3: Cutting Federal Income Taxes-In addition to aggressively eliminating irresponsible federal spending, Congress should empowerAmerican citizens to stimulate the economy by Congress cutting federal income taxes for all federaltaxpayers, rather than spending hundreds of billions of dollars on so-called "federal economic stimulus". YES OR NO

Ballot Proposition #4: Public Acknowledgement of God-The use of the word "God", prayers, and the Ten Commandments should be allowed at public gatherings and public educational institutions, as well as be permitted on government buildings and propoerty. YES OR NO

Ballot Proposition #5: Sonograms-The Texas Legislature should enact legislation requiring a sonogram to be performed and shown to each mother about to undergo a medically unnecessary, elective abortion. YES OR NO

FW: Farouk Shami

Hello Friends and Family:

Please read the information below regarding the Muslim running for Governor.

Mark and I are endorsing Debra Medina for Governor of Texas . She is a washington outsider, PRO LIFE,Against BIG governement, Against Gun Control, and FOR protecting our borders. You only have to hear Kay Bailey's ads to know why we don't want Perry, and you
only have to listen to Perry's ads to know why we don't want Kay Bailey (among other reasons). I've noted her positions on the issues below. Check out the website for more info: http://www.medinafortexas.com/issues.php

Here is her position on some of the issues:
Private property and gun ownership are essential elements of freedom.
Eliminate property tax: We must eliminate property tax in Texas. We can fund necessary government services more efficiently and fairly using a broader based sales tax. Eliminating property tax and deriving that revenue from a sales tax will mean a $3 billion increase in net personal income in Texas and will add 125,000-175,000 new jobs. [pdf]
Protect gun ownership: Protecting freedom requires that the people be well armed. Government cannot protect us from violence, we must defend ourselves. Texans must not compromise and must not surrender their right to keep and bear arms. We must not only nullify federal laws that threaten that right but encourage citizens to be, as Madison encouraged, "trained to arms, as that is the best and most natural defense of a free country."
Secure our border: Texas must promote healthy immigration and trade through the legal ports of entry. We cannot wait on Washington D.C. to act. As governor I will make addressing illegal immigration and promoting sovereignty a top priority.
Restore Sovereignty: The U.S. Constitution not only protects citizens' freedoms in the Bill of Rights, it also divides power between the federal and state governments and ultimately reserves final authority for the people themselves. Texas must stop the over reaching federal government and nullify federal mandates in agriculture, energy, education, healthcare, industry, and any other areas D.C. is not granted authority by the Constitution.
Private property and gun ownership are essential elements of freedom.

Debra on Life

Pro-Life Period

Life begins at conception and concludes at natural death.
Every human is created in the image of God. God, not man, is the measure of all things. Every human life is precious and I will work to protect innocent human life.

Debra on Family

Strong families are the heart and soul of our great state

Government must resist interfering in our families. We Texans must support the fundamental rights of parents to determine what is in the best interest of their children. All government policies must be crafted to support the stability of the family and to refrain from undermining it. Government subsidies destroy family bonds, as parents are not required to rely upon one another for support, but instead look towards the nanny state. We must foster individual responsibility, rather than coerce government dependence.

Debra on the Right to Keep and Bear Arms

No compromise 2nd Amendment

Gun ownership is essential to our liberty. Private property rights notwithstanding, the right to keep and bear arms should not be regulated or infringed. We Texans should be free to carry our arms openly, and any attempts to restrict gun ownership should be rejected.

Debra on Illegal Immigration

Illegal Immigration is Illegal

Illegal immigration affects many aspects of our lives: jobs, health care, education, housing, and taxes to name a few. It also adversely affects the lives of those who come here illegally, as they are forced into an underground culture. We are all harmed by illegal immigration. The most compassionate thing We Texans can do is stop illegal immigration.

Debra on Education

Return to Local Control and Expect Excellence

We Texans deserve excellence in education. We Texans remain concerned about the quality of our schools despite the fact that funding of public education has more than doubled in recent years. Promoting competition, local control, and guidance will allow Texas to reduce cost, increase performance, and improve the quality in our schools.
Our Constitution provides for the support and maintenance of an efficient system of free public schools "for the general diffusion of knowledge essential to the preservation of the liberties and rights of the people."

Debra on Healthcare

Free-Market Healthcare Only

We Texans should be free to make our own decisions concerning healthcare for our families. Government interference in the medical industry increases medical costs and lowers the quality of healthcare. We must eliminate state mandates and promote a free market for healthcare in order to offer the best medical services to the most people. Families and communities, not government, ought to be allowed and encouraged to provide healthcare to those who need it.

Thanks for listening!

I hate to admit it, but I didn't know this guy was in the picture, but now I do.
I watched several other videos on youtube after this one and you can start to
see that he came into politics out of no where (political). I found a video of where he
did come from exactly.  I suppose when Obama was elected and he chose or was put into place
He decided he better pull his business from Asia to Texas.  Humm,  only a little suspicious.

To all of us who live in Texas, be prepared to vote this guy out of the running....
Thursday, February 4, 2010

There is something everyone should know. Farouk Shami of Houston has announced his bid for the race of Texas Governor on the Democratic ticket.  This is something all of us should fight and prevent.  A vote for anyone else is a vote to defeat this man.  Shami is a self made millionaire who is a Palestinian-born confessed Muslim.  He must NOT be elected as the Governor of our state.  He has blasted Rick Perry for not taking Obama's stimulus money and agreeing to the strings attached to that money.  Texas must remain sovereign and free.

On his website http://www.faroukforgovernor.com/ he makes the statement, "Farouk Shami... The day he becomes Governor is the day business as usual ends in Texas."  That is very frightening and literally the truth.

You have no idea how his being elected will impact our state.  This man is anti-gun, he is for the banning of firearms and limiting who can have them. This would be an Obama in Texas.  Please share with others this information and we must unite to make sure this man does NOT get elected.  Do whatever you need to do to get people to the polls to vote and make a stand against this candidate.

Educate yourself and others around you.  Our life, as we know it in this state, depends on your vote and you spreading this information .

Thank you,

To those who believe in God no explanation is necessary; to those who do not, no explanation is possible!
